FOOD, IDENTITY, LIFE, FUTURE

In the highlands of Peru, the potato is more than a food staple. It represents tradition, agricultural resilience, and scientific progress. Peru is the crop’s center of origin, with approximately 3,000 native varieties still grown today. Here, farmers preserve traditional growing methods and rich biodiversity while incorporating modern research. This summer, I will explore how these agricultural systems support full, healthy lives and environments while building greater resilience against shifting weather patterns and unpredictable global systems. Each image is linked to a story, told through scenes and experiences.
